About Shreya
I'm a high school student, and I know how hard certain subjects can be and how much pressure is being put on students daily. I can help students adapt to their needs because I know most teachers won't change their teaching styles for a student, but I will. Furthermore, I'm quite qualified to teach math because I've always been in advanced math since 5th and have earned 95%+ in Algebra 1 and 2.
This is my first time teaching a student who could be my age, but I have plenty of tutoring experience because I volunteer to teach younger students math and English. I enjoy sharing the tricks and techniques that I've learned over the years and I want to help other students apply them too.

First, I get to know the student, and see what they struggle with, and try teaching them a small lesson to illustrate the way I teach. If the student thinks they find me helpful for their school work, they can choose to continue with me. In the past, I've gotten many positive responses and I am currently teaching 2 other students on a volunteering basis.
I've worked with students across the world; I currently teach a student from Asia (on a volunteering basis) and I've also had a student with a learning disorder. I've also worked with students that hate the subject that they're struggling with as well.
Make sure that the teacher is teaching in a way where you actually understand the context. Also, try asking questions that you already know the answers to during the first lesson to see how accurately your teacher can answer them.
