About Bridget
My name is Bridget Patton, I'm a class of 2021 honors student at Solon High School, and I would love to help your child reach their full academic potential. I generally work with students in grades K-8, and have experience tutoring young students with special needs.
When the information clicks in a young student’s head and they really understand the material, it makes my day knowing that I had a part in the expansion of that student’s knowledge.

When I begin working with a new student, I try to find how they like to learn: do they like to read, or are they more of an auditory learner? Do they prefer completing lessons on a computer or on paper? After finding how best a student learns, I like to adapt their schoolwork and tutoring to reflect the student’s learning style.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what learning methods have worked for a student in the past; does it help the student to draw pictures of the information, or does the student learn better by hearing about it? Does a student prefer using technology rather than reading off of a paper copy? Making note of educators the student has done well with and examining the teaching style of those educators also helps to find out how the student learns best. Bringing the answers to some of these types of questions to a first meeting assist in building a solid academic foundation on which the student can expand through tutoring.

My rate is generally $12/hour. I generally meet students at the Solon Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library, but am willing to travel up to 15 miles to reach a student.
