About Olga
As a dedicated student who herself struggled and overcame difficulties in school, I am able to relate to students on a different level than most. I have been tutoring for four years now, working with kids of varying grade levels, both in person and online. I'm currently a student myself, so I understand the stresses of studying along with the many other responsibilities young students carry on their shoulders. Tens of my students have reached their desired score on their standardized exams. I, myself, have scored in high percentiles on my standardized exams (Above 95 on all regents and a 2300 on the old SAT). I am willing to build a relationship and a friendship; learning will come naturally to all of my students!
I started teaching because I realized that there was something missing on the tutoring market when I myself needed help. Students need someone relatable who will work as not only their teacher, but their mentor and friends.
I have a double major in Sociology and Chemistry. I also have four years experience in tutoring math, verbal, SAT, chemistry, and biology.

The general plan will be to perform a few diagnostic sessions during which the tutor will have a grasp of the student's weakest points. From these diagnostic sessions, a comprehensive list will be created of specific topics that need work. From this list, conceptual lesson plans will be created. Further, each following session will consist of a practice session and a lesson plan devoted to a certain topic. As we tackle all of the topics together covering all of the sections tested on, the student's knowledge and consequently, score will continuously rise. Towards the end of our tutoring journey, timed sessions will be started to make sure student has ample time on test day and strategies will be discussed.
I have worked with all different types of students of varying ages; even an adult learner! I build great relationships with all of my students.
