About Katherine
I have loved math since learning it and I am a current junior in college, so I may be easier to approach! I am also willing to negotiate pricing! I am good with people of all ages and can teach math levels up until college level calculus 3! I have been a tutor at Kumon as well and I have also helped tutor additional students during my time in high school and college.
I genuinely enjoy being able to mold minds and it makes me very happy when a student finally understands a problem and this is what encouraged me to go into tutoring. I also have a younger brother that I have helped tutor since he was young, so this has also inspired me as well.
I have graduated high school and am currently a third year college undergraduate student who will soon be in her first year of graduate school. I have also worked many babysitting jobs that involve tutoring so I can work with people of any age and I have also worked at a self-learning center (Kumon) where I was able to interact with students and guide them on problems as well.

First I would see which area they need help on, then based on their learning style, try to devise a lesson plan that would help them understand what they are struggling with in easier terms.
I have worked with students from preschool up to college age. I have experience in helping students who also have difficulty focusing so I am very patient and am willing to help such students as well.
My advice is to find a teacher who suits your learning style best, whether that may be me or another teacher. You know how you learn best and there may be teachers who don't understand your learning style so find one that does.

I try to customize pricing based on the person but a standard rate, not depending on the intensity of the subject, would be $20/hr. If the intensity of the subject is higher, my prices will rise, but once again, I am always willing to negotiate pricing and accomodate to your needs!
