About Alexander
We will take on the math slowly and methodically and try to keep the bigger picture in mind as we learn.
I love sharing the beauty of math; its the language of the universe. It is also a great feeling to find the small knowledge gap that is holding a student back and solving it.
I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from ASU. I was tutor for three years during undergrad and was a teaching assistant for two years as a Ph.D. student. I have been teaching at the college level for three years. My favorite part of tutoring is being able to dispel the fear of math and looking to find the original gap in the foundation that has rolled over into the current math difficulty.
On the math side, I can tutor pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations. I also know quite a bit about probability of all levels from basic to calculus-based.
My specialty in graduate school was signal processing, so anything signals and systems will be fun to tutor. I also have recently taught the first term of circuits as well as digital logic.
