About Brendan
5 year Middle School Math Teacher that is passionate about finding engaging ways to teach. Love to incorporate student interests into my lessons, and have worked with elementary, middle and high school students to improve comfortabilitity with math while fostering interest in the subject. Have extensive work with students with IEPs and incorporating Executive Functioning into sessions.
I love helping students feel more confidence and enjoy math with engaging games and problems!

I typically like to meet with the student and parent first, to make sure everyone is comfortable and get a feel for the goals of both the student and parent. Then I will run a trial session where I will feel out where the student's strengths and growth areas are. Then I will have the student tell the parent how the first session went, and have them both decide if its the right fit.

Brendan is a smart, patient and very engaging tutor. My son is in 5 grade but doing challenging 6th/7th grade math. When my son met Brendan he insistently felt a connection with him. Brendon makes learning fun and explains complex concepts in a way my son easily understands. My son never complains about the tutoring session, actually looks forward to seeing Brendan. Overall, I’ve seen a great improvement since we’re started the tutoring sessions. Brendan is also fantastic about communicating - providing regular updates along with being flexible on scheduling when needed.
My child really likes working with him and they seem to get a lot of things done within their tutoring sessions
Tutor works really well with students and is able to explain hard concepts easily to students.
