About Zuri
I do not wish to stand out in anyway except for my kindness and thoughtfullness towards the student. I enjoy seeing others prosper. My benefit is being chosen because of my personality and my intelligences that can be shared.
I enjoy the idea of growth and monitoring that in someone else, younger or older. I can learn from teaching new people as well.
I have given private lessons as a musician as well as math tutoring to students in college along with my major.
I have an associates in both Music and Computer Science. I have had private studies with instructors to teach me their one on one approach to establishing a connection with the student

I like to see the general knowledge that the student demonstrates. Its important to establish a bassline/ foundation to extrapolate how the student thinks and to guage their pace
I have worked with slow learners and I have the patience to address their confusion always to assist them in their growth
The most important thing for a student to understand when picking a tutor is every teacher has a set of teaching styles they will use to be accustomed to their student, and it is necessary for these teaching styles to meet the students needs.
I enjoy spending time shedding music with my band mates to learn about how they think and what musical interests they have.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
There is the importance to address what might be private or seemingly off-topic/inappropriate with the parent first. I might deem it fit to then relay that conversation if it were to be brought to my attention to the parent/guardian. In other instances if a student asks me something not in my area of expertise it is my duty as a teacher to assist them to find the answer or resource.

I am always willing to workout some type of financial plan with the parent or the student themselves, with consent in order to facilitate their growth.
