About Maame
I am a professional performance singer-songwriter and actor. My experience as a n instructor is at least 3 years. I've been performing for 10+ years. My approach to teaching is coaching instead of a lecture. I like to make my lessons fun for me and my students. This helps students stay engaged whether they are as young as 9 years old or they are an older adult wanting to learn an instrument or voice later in life. I have experience working with students who have different reasons for wanting to have music lessons with me. Some work with me because they want to develop their artistry into a career. Some also work with me because it's just a hobby that they want to get into to stay active or find a way to connect with other people.
I've helped students with auditions that landed them roles, got accepted into colleges, and helped improve their confidence in their skills. Whatever your goals are, I can help you accomplish them and find where your strengths are. Out of my years of teaching, 2 of those years have been online and I also teach at a local studio in Pennsylvania. My favorite part of teaching is helping my students reach a milestone and seeing how much they've grown in their craft from where they started. It's rewarding to be a part of that process with them.
