About Lydia
I enojoy sharing my love of music with children. I was self taught so I know how to create a pretty solid curriculum that not only motivates the student but helps them improve. I have been playing flute for four years and I currently play for Pleasant Grove High School’s band and marching band. I am efficient in music theory and generally good with children. I’m willing to work for minimum wage, maybe less, and I will try my best to deliver quality results. I was am a Girl Scout Program Aide, which means I am accustomed to being a leader to children and I know how to have a little fun in the process. If your child has ADHD, I have many resources and lots of experience to cope with problems relating to it.
I’m a fifteen year old who is desperate for a job, willing to work for little money, loves music, and so happens to be pretty good at the flute. This is the best option for my schedule and I’ll be able to help people.
I have four years of playing the flute under my belt, and I have several theory books from those four years. This way I can pick the most helpful exercises out of all of them to give our student the best experience. I’ve also gone through many different teachers with different teaching styles so I can take the best of each and combine it into my own.

First, I’ll get to know them a little bit. What they like to do, what they hope to achieve. Next, I’ll evaluate their skill level. My first lesson I will not charge, if the family is still unsure about my services after that, I will teach up to three more lessons free. A typical lesson will have some form of music theory, a warm up, and work on whatever the student is struggling with.
Well, I’ve taught my siblings and some friends the bare basics of flute and after my short lessons they preformed what I’d taught them rather well.
Mane sure you know who you’re hiring and you hear them play. If you hear me play and you don’t think “Wow. I want to sound like that.” I wouldn’t want you to hire me. However, for basics, it’s appropriate to ask any decently successful musicians.
My neighbor had her grandson over and I went to play a song for her. He came to the door, couldn’t have been more than seven, and he seemed absolutely amazed by my flute. I let him hold it and showed him how it works, he was absolutely awestruck. That was when I realized I wanted to teach for sure.
