About Betsy

I love to be creative and so I individualize my lessons to each student's interests and goals. I am patient and fun and great with both kids (ages 8 and up) and adults. I have played violin for over 20 years and have been sewing for 10.

I love working with my hands to create something beautiful, and I love finding that line being precise and letting creativity take control.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Furman University.

I’m currently a nanny of two elementary-school-aged kids.

I previously worked for Suzanne Perron, a couture formal gown designer in New Orleans who used to work with Vera Wang and Christina Herrera.

I also worked at Chateau Sew & Sew where I frequently taught sewing lessons and classes.

About the lesson

I will design my lessons around each student and whatever he or she wants to learn.

I have worked with students of all ages (3 to 80). I now only teach students who are 8 years or older.

Details

$50 for a one-hour violin lesson.

$35 for a one-hour sewing lesson.

Longer lessons are available only for sewing lessons. Two-hour lessons are $60 and each additional hour after that is $25.
