About
Hello! My name is Brandon Daly. I have a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Oregon State University, and a Master of Science in Hydrology from Colorado School of Mines (recently graduated). I am deeply passionate about the science of how the world works and teaching others about it is how I share that passion with the world.
My specific background is in Climate Science and Glaciology, both interdisciplinary in nature. I therefore believe that the earth sciences must be taught from an interdisciplinary lens, which is the exact approach I take with teaching. For example, the science of sea level rise cannot be taught without first learning about how glaciers in Antarctica and Greenland interact with and respond to their environments and climate change. This way you will get a more well-rounded and nuanced understanding of how the planet works, rather than just learning the facts at face-value.
Earth Science is an exciting topic to learn about, and getting people excited or passionate about it is what gravitates me towards teaching. As your tutor, I aim to make your learning experience enjoyable and interesting.
