I studied with Dr. Stinson from August 2015 to May 2018, during my undergraduate degree at the Crane School of Music. His lessons go in depth to the physics of singing and how what is happening all around the inner cavities including “the mask,” informs healthy vocal technique. With expert knowledge of styles ranging from early opera to musical theatre, Dr. Stinson draws connections between different genres and educationally questions stigmatization of the “classical voice.”
