About Ashley
I believe that anyone can improve their vocal abilities with training and practice. Together we'll work to help you cultivate a technique that will allow you to helathily express your musical ideas. I look forward to meeting you at whatever your current level may be and helping you along your vocal journey.
I am a recent graduate of the Voxtet Program (MM ‘19) at the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, which provides four students each year a full scholarship to study early music, oratorio, and chamber music. I have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and ensemble member with numerous ensembles including Bach Collegium Japan, Juilliard 415, New York State Baroque, The Newberry Consort, and The Boston Early Music Festival. Additionally, I co-direct my own ensemble, Lyracle.
While my professional experience is limited to the performance of classical music, I am happy to help you apply a healthy singing technique to the repertoire that speaks to your artistic identity.
As a voice teacher, it is my privelege to help others grow as grow as singers, musicians, and artists.
My first students were undergraduates at The Univeristy of Michigan who were studying visual art and wanted to explore another means of artistic expression. As a graduate student at Yale, I taught voice to members of the Yale Schola Cantorum and Yale Women's Slavic Chorus.
