Leigh takes teaching to a new level of comfort, efficiency, and efficacy. As a student taking Spanish courses in undergrad, I struggled with applying class knowledge on assignments, essays, and exams. I asked Leigh for some help, and from the start she eased my concerns. One thing I appreciated from the start is that Leigh did not just help me with my homework and finish there, but rather helped me understand concepts that would further my knowledge, application, and understanding of the Spanish Language. Leigh takes a very structured approach of starting with the fundamentals to make sure there is a basic level of understanding. We went through the basic rules of conjugation, vocabulary etc. and then she added a new layer of irregular verbs, and then a new layer of combining different rules and on and on. This onion-layering approach is what has always worked best for me, and I am so thankful that Leigh adapted her teaching style to what would work best for my learning. She is also so easy to speak to—never do I have to worry about asking a “stupid” question. Leigh has an immense passion for teaching, which she conducts with care, patients, and generosity. I would not recommend anyone more than I would recommend Leigh to this position, and I can ensure anyone they will have a fantastic experience with her.
