About Jess
I was originally trained to paint backdrops for theater... From there I painted scenery for tv, film, commercials, music videos, museums, restaurants, photo shoots, theme parks... I've worked with interior designers, creating custom decorative paint (faux) finishes. People have commissioned my original art too. I even specialize in creating 3D effects with paint (it's called trompe l'oeil). I've taught hundreds of people at different levels of ability how to paint, as an artist and entertainer in entertainment venues. Everything is simple when it's explained well as baby steps.
You can see more of my work in its many forms here: (concealed information)
I enjoy playing with color, texture, metallic accents and world design elements. My art usually ends up looking like a poster with very graphic details. I paint a bit like an illustrator. I love the depth created with layers of sheer color and the way metallic paint reflects light differently depending on where you stand. I can use simple techniques to help you have fun combining color and shape to create simple to advanced art of your own!
