About Lakyra
Hi! My name is Lakyra, and I love helping kids learn and have fun while doing it! I’ve been babysitting and tutoring since I was 15. I’m going to college to become a teacher, and I enjoy teaching math, science, and reading. My favorite part of tutoring is seeing kids smile when they understand something new. I’ve been working with children through babysitting and tutoring since I was 15, and I discovered early on how much I enjoy helping young learners grow. In high school, I took an Early Childhood I’ve been working with children through babysitting and tutoring since I was 15, and I discovered early on how much I enjoy helping young learners grow. In high school, I took an Early Childhood Education class where I spent several days each week assisting teachers in daycare and elementary classrooms. That hands-on experience taught me how to connect with kids, support their learning styles, and keep them engaged. I especially enjoy teaching math, science, and language arts—using fun, interactive methods to help children build confidence and succeed academically.
