About Mehran

Our dojo has been in El Sobrante/Richmond since 1986.

We practice Uechi Ryu karate for adults, Shotokan and Uechi ryu for Children and Chi Gong for all ages.

I love teaching ways to stay healthy and in good shape and spirit.

As an 8th degree instructor from the Okinawa Karate association my passion is martial arts and have been a part of it for the past 50 years. I am a certifed fitness trainer, specialst in: exercise therrapy, youth fitness and senior fitness.

I started teaching in 1983 when I realized my son needed to learn to defend himself. my first students were my son and 3 of his friends.

I have: 8th degree black belt from the Okinawa karate association. Certified Master Fitness Trainer with International sports science association, Specialist in youth fitness (ISSA) specialist in exercise therapy. Certified group exercise instructor with (AFAA).

About the lesson

Students have a 1/2 hour presonal training with the instructor the they join the group for workot and techniques.

Basic steps, posture position, blocks and stance are thought during the first week of trainig.

I work with ages from 4 to seniors. I have some kids with autism and some with physical limitations, but mostly healthy students with viguer and enthusiasm.

Visit the school, participate in a class, consider the teacher's attitude towards other students, analyze the character of the stdents at the school.

All events are enjoyble and exciting, each class and every event is a pleasure for me. Our most recent event was last weekend, we had a visit form the vice president of the Okinawa Karate Association, a great workout and seminar.

Details

Classes are 3 to 4 times per week, the monthly fee is $70 for children and $80 for adults.

Private lessons and personal training fees are 60/hour or 4 lessons for $200.
