About Jennifer

The best learning is hands-on and enjoyable! So, tell me more about what you are interested in and I'll create a lesson plan that is directly toward just that. With extensive training and experience in photographing, editing and a working professional photographer, I can teach everything from how to hold a camera and it's functions to tips on the business of photography.

I have been a full time wedding and portrait photographer for over 7 years with 3 more years working under other photographers. I have offices in both Fullerton, CA and Palm Springs, CA. You can see my work at (concealed information)

Many of my friends and family asked several questions about cameras, photography and editing and some asked for hand-on lessons.

I also taught a basic photography workshop with A Reason to Survive in San Diego.

I received a BFA in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography - basically I know a little about all medias of art from drawing to web design to art history, plus more focus training in photography.

I also attending the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. An intense 6 month career training program from basic photography to advanced editing and the basics in running a photography business. I took additional workshops in adventure photography, editorial photography and wedding photography.

About the lesson

We would start with an initial meeting to learn more about each other and your desired areas of photography study. What other passions do you have? Where do you see yourself using photography in your daily life?

Then I'll work on a lesson plan according to the parameters we have set. If you like the lesson plan, we'll get started. If you would like to alter it as we go, not a problem.

Mostly hobby photographers who just want to know how to take better family pictures. However, I also worked with a couple of teenagers in the foster care program who were interested in learning a skill.

Photography is an expansive field that covers everything from photographing camping products and food to weddings to fashion and editorial. First think about what area of photography most interests you. Is it for personal use or a career interest? Do you want to photograph people or objects and landscapes that don't move? Do you want to be outside with natural lighting or inside with controlable light?

These questions will help you know which teacher is best suited for what you want to learn. Look at their style. Do you want to learn how to do that?
