About Gordon
I have been doing photography since 1970. I use the lessons learned from years of using film and apply them to digital photography. This reduces the need for students to resort to Photoshop or another software editing program to make their photographs perfect.
I have a strong desire to share my knowledge and I want to help students improve themselves.
I graduated from the school of hard knocks. I learned by doing, by making mistakes.

I like to see 5-10 examples of photos they have taken. I talk with them about their work and what they hope to accomplish in the class.
I customize the class to the student's goals, i.e. someone who wants to learn the techniques of fine art photography doesn't need to spend time learning how to take portraits.
I have worked with everyone from restaurant managers to financial planners. All I require from a student is a desire to improve their photography.
Look at their photography. Don't expect someone who only shoots portraits to be able to instruct you in landscape photography.

Details
$30 per hour. This price includes a field trip (4-hour minimum) at the end of the class where the student gets personalized instruction and gets to use their knowledge in real-world conditions.
