About Emily Grace
I am an artist and art historian, currently working and teaching in Seattle and worldwide. I teach anywhere from beginners to advanced artists, and in many different areas such as design, drawing, acrylic painting, oil painting, figure drawing, abstract art, watercolor, and photography.
I have my BFA in studio art and years of professional experience. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from school and have worked as an artist and teacher since graduation. I myself am continually working to learn throughout my career and attend many classes and seminars to continue advancing my skills.
I have exhibited in juried art shows all across the country, and have won awards in many of them. These include my student shows, local shows, and national art competitions.

I started teaching in 2012, and have been loving it ever since.
I have my BFA in studio art as well as years of experience in teaching students of all levels.

I like to assess where my student is and what their current level is and where their goals are with art in the first lesson. Then I will create a learning plan to go over with the student to see if this is in line with their goals. If so, we will set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly lessons and work towards the students goals as an artist.
I have worked with students from ages 6 all the way to senior adults with anywhere from no experience to college educated in art.
I would say to find someone that understands your goals and will work hard to help you reach them. Especially with art, everyones goals are different, so its important to find a teacher that will understand what you are looking for, whether that is photorealistic art, art for your mental health, abstract art, or even just learning a few basic skills.
