About Robert

I am a current college student who has recently taken and succeeded in all the courses I am tutoring for. The topics are fresh in my mind and I'm eager to share them with you by explaining concepts and going through practice problems. I believe I have a deep understanding of the topics and can communicate it in such a way that you will understand why it is so, making that formula or method easier to remember on a test. I have a 4.0 GPA through my first year at the University of Florida and I'm eager to get started helping others improve theirs.

I enjoy sharing the knowledge I have gained in high school AP courses and during my first year at university. I also enjoy formulating rigorous proofs of concepts I have a really strong grasp of.

I started this summer on tutoring websites like this one as a part time job that is fun, rewarding, and even lucrative.

I'm a rising sophomore student at the University of Florida who has completed courses through Honors Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Honors Physics 1 & 2 with Calculus. I received high A's in and can tutor for all of these subjects.

About the lesson

I first determine what they know and then ask what they want to know. I then explain any concepts or examples they are looking to learn in front of them on paper either in person or using my document camera on Skype.

So far I have only tutored physics, but I have answered several calculus questions on online forums and am excited to start tutoring in this subject, too.

Make sure your tutor has a solid grasp of the knowledge they are trying to teach, and don't overpay for tutors who charge $80+/hr for much of the same services.

If you are looking for help in a college course, list the name of the course and the institution you are taking it at so tutors know exactly what you are studying and can determine for themselves if they may be a good fit.

Details

I normally charge $25/hr. I will also only ever charge you for the fraction of the hour you use, so if our lesson goes for 1 hr and 15 min you will only be charged 25*(5/4) = $31.25.
