About Zoe

My name is Zoe Cunningham and I am a private lessons teacher and performer. I have been playing the violin for 20 years and have taken private lessons for 14 years. I started teaching when I got out of college and have been teaching private voice, piano, and violin lessons for the past 5 years. I can improve technique while also making the lessons fun and personal. Due to covid-19 I already have experience with teaching online private lessons. Please email me if you have interest in me as your private teacher. :)

I love watching my students blossom into better musicians. The change is always small in the scheme of one lesson but when you look at a student who has been taking lessons for a month, the change is obvious and heart-warming.

I started teaching at the Allegro Music and Dance Academy in Lemont right after I got out of college. I have been teaching there for the past 5 years and have since gained a plethera of experience.

I have performance experience that allows me to teach others about stage prescence and also techniques to overcoming stage-fright.

I have taught private violin, voice, and piano lessons for the past 5 years and have been playing violin for 20 years. Of those 20 years I have been taking private violin lessons for 14 years.

About the lesson

First I like to get to know my students. I always asks them if they have a specific goal that they would like to accompish and by when. I also like to ask if the student has any preference to genres of music they would like to be learning.

All types and all ages. I have had students that range from 3 years old to about 50 years old. I also have experience teaching those with special needs.

Come with a goal in mind whether it's to be a better performer, or to learn a certain genre of music, or to work on musicality. Honestly, there is no wrong goal to have. I just always want to get a feel for what my student is looking for.

Just last week my student who I've had for a year or so said that her lessons with me are the best part of her week.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do they have an instrument of their choosing? Do they have music of their own? Do they wish to own a copy of the books I use? Do you know how to take care of your instrument?

These are all questions I will do my best to help answer.
