New students are offered a free initial consultation to assess their interests and current piano skills. The teacher then choosees and customized a curriculum for that student.
The teacher has worked with preschool-teenaged students.
Mrs. Shimizu advises prospective students to look for a teacher who has ~your~ best interests in mind--after all, music education is the student's journey. A teacher has special insight, but should always consider the student's abilities and interests when deciding how and what to teach.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Questions students may ask include how much practice is required, what kind of instrument to practice on, and what makes the teacher unique.
