About Jordon
I have experience in teaching both piano and percussion to students in elementary through high school. My three years of experience includes countless competitions, recitals, and ensembles performing music that I have composed and/or taught the students to play. My ability to teach spans from the newest beginners to people who have played an instrument as long as I have. I am currently studying to pursue a Bachelor's degree in music education and plan to become a full-time piano instructor or band director for the Chicago area.

New students will start off learning the basics of the piano. Rudimentary practice is key to understanding music. This includes ability to quickly read and play notes on a staff, playing scales, and knowing rhythms. After the student is confident in the basics, we will move onto learning music - starting simple and working our way up to more challenges pieces. Connection with the student is another important aspect of education because we must understand the abilities, motives, and needs for each individual student to fully be able to teach.

I very much enjoyed learning under him! He's very passionate about what he's doing and very patient for someone like myself who couldn't read music as well. I feel more confident in my skills after taking a few lessons. I would totally recommend him to anyone wanting to learn!
