About Erik
I have over 30 years of music experience. I studied classical piano while growing up in California, and I performed consistently over the course of 10 years. I picked up the guitar in my late teens and studied rock/blues/jazz for several years. I have played in several bands and have played either piano or guitar in those bands . I encourage my students to get to a level where they are comfortable performing and playing with others.
I enjoy the look on a student's face when they play a new song or a riff that they weren't able to play before!
I studied Suzuki classical piano, an ear training based method, for almost 10 years. There were many recitals, performances and competitions. I won a regional Bach competition in San Diego in 1995. I have also studied rock/blues/jazz guitar for several years and have been playing guitar for over 20 years.

The first thing I like to do is gauge the current skill level of my student, I do this through conversation and through some playing (if the student can play at all). I also have my new student tell me about themselves and what their goals are with music.

Erik is very outgoing, and great with children. At first I was only going to get my 9 year old daughter Isabella lessons but now I am going to get my 5 year old lessons as well. I am very pleased with his punctuality, his attitude, and also his musician ship. I could be more pleased with Rose music!! I highly recommend him.
Eric is an amazing musician and great teacher
Amazing lessons with Erik! He is so musically gifted and has many years of theory as well! Can teach you any kind of music you want to learn on piano and guitar! Very talented with tons of energy and the lessons are not boring! I highly recommend taking lessons with Rose Music Lessons!!
I have been taking my sons to Mr. Rose for music lessons for a year now. He is very professional but he also makes learning fun. My boys love him, he's a great teacher.
