I came into lessons with Alice as a 37-year-old with ZERO musical experience in my life -- and she had me playing Mozart and Beethoven within 3 months! I really liked Alice's outside-the-box way of teaching; she would use analogies and metaphors to break down complex concepts into simple things to remember on the keys, to make learning more successful. She's also just a fun person to hang out with once a week! Can't recommend learning with Alice enough.

The time I spent with Alice made me more interested in piano. She is a very energetic and patient teacher, and her instructions are clear and concise so that I know what to do very quickly. She is also very comfortable to talk to and the learning process is always fun! I enjoyed studying with her!

I've been taking lessons with Alice for a year and a half now and I could not ask for a better teacher! She takes the time to understand the problems you're having and help you find solutions to improve. Even over zoom, she's really good at demonstrating the movements you need to learn.

Alice is my first piano teacher. She is professional, sincere and lovely. I really enjoy each piano lesson with her. She is able to tailor her course plan according to students ability, time schedule and goals. I also love the practice materials and I never get bored when practicing those etudes because they are so melodic. The difficulty of those etudes just gradually increase which gives me satisfying feeling of completing small challenges each time. Alice really pays attention to your performance during the class and she is able to pick out even tiny mistakes and ask you to improve. For each piano pieces I played, she not only told me how to play, but also explain the music theory (like chords) behind it, or even some culture background of the piece for me to have a better understanding. I never feel pressured during the study, it's just like chatting with an old friend in each class and then I learnt everything I want.

Alice is a passionate teacher who teaches with enthusiasm and instructs well on technique. She connected with my daughter who improved tremendously under Alice’s instruction. I’d highly recommend Alice as a piano teacher!

Alice is a very easy person to get along with. She takes into consideration the students status. For example, when I am overloaded with work at school, Alice won’t overload me with piano homework. The pieces she chooses are fun to learn. It is always so fun to log onto zoom and spend 45 minutes with Alice!

Alice taught me, an adult beginner, and my more experienced 9 year old daughter. She built up our confidence and understanding of music while keeping the lessons interesting and fun. Alice knows when to push a student and when to let things unfold more slowly. She listens to a students fears and frustrations and works with you to overcome them.
