About Daniel
In my teaching, my aim is to provide a comprehensive music education to students of any age, so that they can thrive in whatever they choose to do with music. This means that incorporated into the piano lessons are not only basics like how to read the music, piano technique, and interpretation and more, but also keyboard theory and music history as it pertains to what is being learned. I have been teaching in the Irvine/ Lake Forest area for the last three years and can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute of it. Currently I'm studying at Cal State Fullerton where I am getting a bachelor's in Classical Piano Performance. I have already completed training in individual piano instruction monitored by one of the on staff professors. Additionally, I am a student member of the Music Teacher's Association of California and offer my students the chance to go through the Certificate of Merit program as well as participate in many of the competitions put on by the organization. I look forward to teaching anyone who would like to try the piano.
It's such a wonderful experience being able to impart the knowledge that you've acquired onto someone else. After studying piano for around 14 years, being able to help someone else figure out exactly what you had to at their stage of learning is both interesting and fulfilling. Additionally, it really brings me a better understanding of music to teach it to someone else because there are sometimes things in music that you won't realize until you have to explain it to a student.
