About Solveig
I always adapt my teaching style to the student's needs and goals. There is not 'one style' that works best, since everyone learns and progresses in different ways and at varying speeds.
The most rewarding part of teaching, is being able to watch the student progress and develop.
Most of my students are beginners, but I've taught all levels of pianist and all ages. I prefer teaching kids, because I love the challenge and I enjoy being able to see them learn.
I studied and performed music at Cornell University for four years, and have been taught by the top national and international professors and mentors in piano performance.
I have 8 years of teaching experience and have been playing the piano for 26 years as well.

I like to use the first lesson as a way of getting to know each other, so that I am able to adapt my teaching approach to my student's needs. This always enables a quick learning curve, efficient progress and optimal development of the student's skills.
