About Kevin
I have over 25 years teaching private voice lessons and 10 years teaching beginner piano lessons. My experience in opera, oratorio and musical theatre makes me qualified to teach all levels and ages in many genres. It is my belief that good vocal technique can be applied to any style of music. I have many years of experience music directing and directing shows in schools and community theatre as well as directing choirs in church, school and community settings.
I enjoy taking an individual approach to each student. I do not believe in the cookie cutter approach. I take each students ability and desires into account when coming up with a plan of study.
It was a natural progresdion from performing.
I have Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performace from the College of Charleston. I also studied music education at West Chester University of PA and graduate studies in choral conducting at the University of South Carolina.
