Liza is a gentle and delightful teacher. Very flexible, she first started teaching one of my twins accordion, then a week later the other twin showed up in place of the first one and he asked for a piano lesson. Liza was able to accommodate his needs on the spot. Her lessons have a calming effect on my hyper-active 9-yr old twin boys. They are not super-diligent at practicing and I have to remind them to practice their instruments a lot. But the day before the lesson, when I say that Liza will be sad if they don’t sound good, they get a grip on themselves and work hard to make her happy. They like her and music is becoming an important part of their lives.

Liza is talented, patient, kind, generous, and great at breaking difficult techniques down into something manageable.

I am trying to learn how to play jazz accordion, and there aren't a lot of resources for doing so. Liza always manages to find some for me, and if she doesn't find one, she'll find a way to still provide a resource (just this last lesson, she recorded 6 videos for me to show certain techniques, voicing, and fingering. In the past, she's called her old professors and asked for resources.). She really wants you to succeed and she puts a lot of energy into trying to help you do so.

I run two businesses, making my schedule really difficult to accommodate, and often I don't practice as much as I should. Yet, somehow Liza always manages to find a place for me in her schedule and is supportive even when I'm not making progress. When crazy things have happened (e.g. I broked a finger), she found ways for me to still be learning and practicing within my limitations.

Finally, listening to her play always inspires me. She has a personality that makes you want to do your best--for yourself and for her.

She is great with my 3 girls. She started out with them all together then separated them. She is an amazing teacher and I would recommend anyone to have her teach their kids.
