About Ed
Hello!
I have been playing for 55 years, taking classical lessons as a child for 8 years. I've also been in a few rock bands, and can play by ear, and by reading sheet music.
I am not degreed, so I won’t be taking on youngsters (less than 10 years old), but I have a great deal of experience to introduce piano and theory concepts to a pre-teen or adult who wants to learn about keyboard instruments…and I can help build fundamentals of classical, pop, jazz, and other genres all customized to your needs. I favor an informal, light approach that welcomes all who want to explore music at their speed.
If the student shows exceptional aptitude that indicates more formalized training instruction is required, I will be the first one to suggest locating a more formal teacher …but for introduction to keyboard concepts, music theory, and music appreciation I can build a custom approach to provide an educational and entertaining experience.
