About Stormy

I use modern and earlier methods to teach my students. I adapt to their individual learning style and pull from both methods to ensure all areas are getting covered in a way they understand.

I offer free WiFi, covered and uncovered waiting areas with charging stations nearby, and a complimentary coffee bar / beverages while you wait.

I love the piano and I love children!! Being able to combine the two has given me the greatest happiness in life!

I was influenced by my mother who taught for many years. She was my own piano teacher, my mentor, and my most influential critic. She used encouragement to push me to do my best and helped me along the process of living my dream.

I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association, a 3rd generation player, a 2nd generation teacher and I continually attend workshops and courses to extend my own knowledge & abilities to better serve your child a great quality lesson.

About the lesson

Usually a meet & greet is scheduled first. You and your child can come have a look at the studio, as it is a private in-home studio. I'll take that opportunity to ease any nervous jitters and answer any questions you (or they) may have. I'll ask a few questions of my own to get to know your child and we'll follow up with an email.
If we decide my studio is a good fit for them, we'll add them to the schedule and take it from there!

Young beginners and intermediate students, ages 4-17.

Lessons should be fun and educational! Keep your eyes open for both!

PIANO IS FUN!!

I had the honor of singing the National Anthem at the Louisiana Mid-Winter Conference for Municipal Officials; an experience that has served as motivation along my musical journey.
