About Melissa
Reading is an absolute passion of mine! I am excited to serve as the Reading Specialist for my community school district.
My ultimate goal as the Reading Specialist and tutor is to promote and facilitate an effective reading program to ensure each student develops the skills and habits needed to become a proficient reader. The majority of my work focuses around three major areas: instruction, assessment, and reading resource development. I work closely with parents to monitor their child's growth in reading.
This is my thirteenth year serving as a Reading Specialist. In addition, I am a faculty member at a local University teaching teachers in their graduate studies in the Art of Reading Instruction.
