About Andrea
Research shows that exercise is the #1 booster in brain power! Blood pumping exercise delivers the extra oxygen and nutrients the brain needs to promote problem solving, enhance memory and decision-making skills. And we all know that proper nutrition fuels both the mind and body to look and feel its best.
Andrea started The Fit Brain because she saw the connection between health & fitness and education. She knew her experience could benefit others. As a teacher for the past 17 years, Andrea has taught children from the age of 3 through age 12. She was a pre-school teacher while in college to earn her B.A. in Education. She taught in sunny Tampa, Florida for almost 6 years and moved back to Philadelphia to earn her M.A. in Teaching and Learning with a focus on S.T.E.M. education. She is currently a Level II certified teacher with the School District of Philadelphia.
