About Yaffa
Hello everyone!
Most tutors may describe themselves as a teacher to their student. Although, I imagine myself and my student as a team. We are a team because we learn the subject together and try to further improve together as well. Some characteristics about me , is that I am currently a nursing student in university. My experiences with tutoring began in high school. I have tutored kids of all ages and subjects. Furthermore, I have also volunteerd at Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital in both the emergency room and oncology center, where it was my duty to create different activies and lessons for children to engage in and feel more at home while being at the hospital. I hope that I can make a difference with my services and provide the support and help that students desire. My goal is to set up the foundatation between the student and the subject for them to better understand their successes and weaknesses and learn how to overcome them.
The best part about the work I do is seeing a smile on my students face. The highlight of tutoring students of all ages is that I get to witness them grow in the subjects they are learning. When I receive a student that is challenged and believes they don't have the ability to excel in the subject, it is my duty to make them understand and teach them to reach their fullest potential. With this in mind, I enjoy giving my students everything that I have learned and more to strive in their studies.
