About Sheryl
My experience, patience and passion for teaching speaks for itself!
I love the interaction with my students and helping them grow their skills and confidence!
I have a Bachelors Degree from California State University, Northridge and 30 units post grad towards a Multi Subject Teaching Credential. I have been working as an Instructional Aide in Special Education for the past 16 years while raising my three sons. All of my experience is from working in the public school system. I have worked with a wide variety of students such as, gifted, ADD/ADHD, learning delays, students on the Autism Spectrum and Down Syndrom to name a few.

I have a conversation with the parent(s) to find out what their concerns are and what the student's classroom teacher has said about the student's areas for improvement. Then I have a conversation with the student and ask pertinent questions and have the student read, write and answer some comprehension questions to get a feel for where they are at. Then we go from there!
