About Aaron
My name is Aaron Watson and I'm a graduate from Florida A&M University. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies in 2019. I've taught students all over the world from middle school to college. I've been teaching for seven years now and my goal is to teach students about music and help them succeed in their goals. I want all of my students to go to college and become professionals in any route they choose.
I was sent to teach at a middle school band camp every year when I was in high school, and when I got to college a student in Africa asked me to teach him how to play saxophone and I learned how to do video lessons at that point.
I've been playing jazz and classical music for over 10 years now. I graduated from Florida A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies and studied with some of the world's best musicians. My private teacher was Professor Bill Kennedy; he is the founder of the jazz program at Florida State University. And I've been studying jazz with the college professors at FAMU and FSU since I was 11.

The first thing I do is introduce myself and tell them who I am and what I do. I then find out what the student is interested in learning. From there I figure out what their strengths and weaknesses are through different musical excercises and fundamentals. From there I try to build the student into a strong musician until it's time for them to do their own work.
Middle school, high school, and college.
Make sure you and your teacher can get along and you both listen to each other.
