New students should sign up for a first-time shooter class.
If you are interested in obtaining a CCW, you will need to be a decently proficient shooter.
advanced classes are offered for those that have had prior training.
men and women of all adult ages interested in self defense. No politics, no war stories, no intimidation.
Ask what they have learned or changed their mind on recently. Ask what their biases and assumptions are in training.
in my most recent first time shooting class, a female student who had never fired a gun before wanted to try rapid fire. With all the appropriate safety measures in place and having learned how to control the firearm, she did a string of rapid fire and happily exclaimed “I’ve always wanted to do that!”
She got the memory on video and was excited to show all her coworkers.
