About James
I like it when I see that one of my students can defend himself in a real-life situation.
Giving people the skills to survive a dangerous situation and get home safe.
I took my first martial arts training in the U.S. Army. Then, I trained in Tae Kwon Do, trained in Tang Soo Do for a while, and went back to Tae Kwon Do. I became a First Degree Black Belt and an Instructor in May of 2010. I became a Second Degree Black Belt about a year later, a Third Degree Black Belt Master on September 15, 2015, and a Fourth Degree Black Belt on October 22, 2018.
I am a Fourth Degree Black Belt Master Instructor, and have used martial arts in real-life situations.

I can teach you self-defense techniques only if you only want to learn to defend yourself in a real-life encounter with a bad guy, and I can also prepare you for competition if you want to do that.
All ages from three and up, and all ethnicities, both male and female. The ones who take the training seriously and do their best are the ones who succeed.
I will do my part - teaching. You have to do your part - do what I say, the first time I tell you, and as fast as you can. Be enthusiastic. If you work hard and decide that you're going to enjoy the classes, then you should be very successful in learning what you need to learn. The students who consistently try their best always do great. If you decide to train with another Instructor, then I won't be offended. If you decide to train with me, then I'll be happy to teach you.
When I became a Black Belt State Champion in June of 2011.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about whether you really want to do this. Getting good at martial arts looks easy and fun on TV and in the movies, but it's a lot of hard work, and usually takes two years to earn your First Degree Black Belt with us. But it usually takes longer with anyone else. If you want it, then you have to work hard for it. I will do my part. If you do your part, then you'll get there. Also think of the spiritual aspect. That's very important. Christianity is the only true religion, so it would be harmful to your soul, your mind, and your emotions to train with someone who promotes Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Shintoism, atheism, secular humanism, agnosticism, or anything else that is in contradiction to the words, the ways, and the will of God.
