About Sher

With an extreme passion for all things outdoors I began this venture with a desire to share all that I love with others who may be intimidated by what they don't know. Our goal??? To empower women by giving them the knowledge and skills that will lead them to unlimited adventures outside. Since I am encouraging women to spend time outdoors, I also wanted to give them a sence of security within themselves by knowing how to protect themselves in various ways.

R.A.D. Basic Self Defence Systems

NRA Certified Basic Pistol

NRA Certified Personal Protection In the Home

Concealed Carry

25+ years as a Utah Hunter Education Instructor

30+ years experience in archery, firearms, fishing, water sports, camping, hunting, hiking, survival, tracking, etc.

Go For It Outdoors is here to build your confidence, providing you with knowledge and basic skills to take on the adventures you seek. We KNOW how invigorating and refreshing being in the outdoors is. We UNDERSTAND how stressful life can be. Let us show you what a little time away from the chaos can do for you. Let us help find 'the you' hidden deep within.

I love watching someone come into one of my classes so intimidated by what they don't know, and leave with amazing confidence and desire to become more active outdoors. I love being able to take someone who has never had the opportunity to spend time enjoying the outdoors and teach them about nature in general. From wild edibles to poisoness plants, to learning and viewing local wildlife and their habits to simply getting better photos. Taking someone who has never seen a live deer or elk into the back country where they can sit and watch the animals in their own environment can be so rewarding. I love that when someone leaves one of my classes, they have truly learned something valuable about their native land, wildlife, firearms, or even something that could save the life of themselves or someone they love. I love being able to teach 'confidence'!

State and National certifications in firearm training, certified self defense aggression training, USAA Certified Archery Instructor, survival basics, extensive experience in the outdoors with basic to experienced levels in many activities. From fly fishing, hiking, hunting, tracking, and trapping, to basic preparedness in emergencies, we can help you become more comfortable in the outdoors.

About the lesson

Practices depend on class or course. Some classes are designed as group based, others instruction may be individual. Retreats and camps are usually a small number of students for more individual attention.
