Mandy not only explained things very clearly, but she made learning fun, (even the challenging parts that would usually make me frustrated!). She also is incredibly generous with her time and expertise—she gave me tips and advice on various other projects as well.

Mandy’s glowing personality lends itself to encouraging her students while still instructing clearly and delivering kind correction. She is so willing to share simple and quick tips, tools and tricks that make a vast difference in the outcome of a project.

My favorite example is my use of a rotary cutter. I started to cut my fabric and Mandy kindly asked, “Can I teach you a quick tip to improve your cutting?” Of course, I said “Yes!!” Turns out, there is a right and wrong way to hold a rotary cutter and it really does make a difference!!!

I have been able to tackle projects I thought were vastly out of my beginner sewing skills because of Mandy’s encouragement. I can not recommend her mad teaching skills enough!!!
