About Marina

I have a bachelors degree in Fashion Design from Drexel University in Philadelphia, I also have experience from 2 other universities. I have experience working in high fashion in New York City and have seen many ways of teaching. I have taken steps from all of my experiences to help me teach others.

I love to see a design go from a sketch to fully finished. It is an amazing feeling to be able to say you made something yourself. I love seeing people realize that they can do something even though they thought they couldnt or it would be to hard.

After I graduated from Drexel I really appreciated my teachers and all the work they did for me. I wanted to help people that don’t have the opportunity to go to school and learn how to sew.

About the lesson

We first start by learning the sewing machine, and how to thread it. We then start to sew by tracing over lines. After that we move on to learning different types of stitching and creatig a reference book with all these stitches. We then start making things,starting out simple, and moving to more difficult things when they are ready.

I have worked with kids from 10 years old to adults in there 50s. I have had many beginners, and some intermediate students.
