First, I assess their prior experience to determine where to begin.
First time sewists will start with sewing through lines, curves and patterns on paper.
Next they will learn how to thread their machine and begin practicing various stitches in fabric.
The beginning series culminates with the construction of an apron or bag applying the basic sewing techniques.
Advanced courses focus on pattern selection, layout, cutting, marking and reading as well as fabric selection.
