About Tyadg

I love watching the level of development our students get on this program. As they get more and more skilled, they get a tremendous amount of joy from the game and they become much more engaged in it. I also love seeing kids who do not play soccer join our program and then join soccer teams because of their new found skills and interest.

I enjoy helping and developing our athletes to reach their full potential in their life. As a former athlete myself, I know how envirgorating it can be chasing after a dream, and to be able to help in that manner in such a big way is very rewarding.

I have always been involved in athletics most of my life, mainly soccer and softball. My partner is a former professional athlete that is the founder of the Om Soccer Program and I have worked with him for the past 3 years.

I have worked with various organizations in Canada and the United States with Om Soccer including Regina FC, Big River FN, Treaty 4, the American Indian Center and the Cary Park District. I have also conducted many of my own private training programs and camps.

About the lesson

All our new students start at the introductory level with our program. We would lay out the necessary obstacles and immediately run them through a warmup which would lead into more complex drills in conjuction with the obstacles. Based on their experience and proficiency we would tailor the program to meet their needs in order to guarantee the fastest rate of skill development while maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere.

I have worked with all types of students, from 6 year old beginners to Collegiate athletes. I've also worked extensively with the Indigenous communities in both the United States and Canada.

I would suggest students try different trainers as much as possible. A lot of times trainers can be cookie cutter but there are some really good ones out there that can make a big difference and they are unmistakable when you meet them.

A recent event that comes to mind is from the Fall program we have just concluded with the Cary Park District. We try to incorporate life lessons into all the training sessions we do and recently we had a parent come up to us to tell us what an impact some of these principles had on her son. The lesson in particular was about how being a good teammate was about setting a good example. That your teammates reflect you, if you want them to pass the ball more you must pass the ball more, that all things start with our own example. Basic sports principles are very easily applicable to real life, and this is something that we try to share with our athletes as much as possible.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider their strengths and weaknesses. What they want to improve on and what they need to develop. Then base questions on how their future teacher can help them achieve these goals in a laid out manner with a plan of action showing each step. I think detailed answers are more indicitave of a good trainer than vague ones.
