About Joshua
Hello! I'm a High School coach and U19 club coach who also has experience as an educator in the public school system. I've been coaching since 2017, have an associate's degree and currently working on my bachelor's. I also have my US Soccer coaching license for grassroots youth soccer. I specialize in Forwards and Midfielders but can also work with defenders that are still learning the basics.
I would love to work with players of any experience level; if your child is brand new to soccer, I'd be more than happy to teach the basics and fundamentals!
If your player has some experience, I can teach them more about the game, in depth!
I love helping kids create more opportunities for themselves, find new fun hobbies, and become better student-athletes & humans.
US Soccer Federation 11v11, 9v9 and 4v4 License
Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts (including coursework in Education)
Coursework in Coaching and Nutrition from the University of Arizona

Generally, I like to get an idea of the athlete's previous soccer experience from themselves and their parents. I also like to outline several goals with the athlete and parent; some long-term, short-term and intermediate. What does the player need to improve on first (technique, spacing, style of play, tactical awareness) and what do they want the outcome to be when they accomplish those (make their school team, get more playing time, enjoy soccer more)?
Afterwards, I can draw up proper practice plans specifically designed for their needs and keep updated with their progress. This will include outdoor sessions and may include occasional film sessions.
I've worked mostly with teenage students, but have also coached kids as young as 7 years old. Between school and soccer, I have coached and taught kids with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and students who are fully able-bodied/minded as well.
I'd advise a student to pick a coach who can not only grow them as an athlete but as a person as well. One that pushes them to be better but also respects where they are right now as an athlete and person.

He is very hands on and knows his stuff and will take time to help you and make sure you get whatever he is teaching right. He is very much quality over quantity and has helped me become a better player physically and mentally in just a few short months. Coach josh is by far the best coach I’ve ever had.
Coach Josh goes the extra mile for us to grasp skills and tactics. If we have it down, he proves to us that there’s always another way to utilize those skills/tactics on the field.
As a player of Joshs i can say he gives a good level between fun and serious. He has taught me so much and has pushed me harder than i ever thought i could go.
