About Amanda
I’m a super friendly high school student looking to help others understand Spanish and English. I’m passionate about teaching another language and I’ve helped friends, family members, and little kids with their knowledge and their journey to become bilingual. My goal is to get these students to be able to understand and defend themselves in both languages. Hard work, determination, and patience are essential when learning a language and I can help you get there!

I have been helping and tutoring kids in math, Spanish, and English since the 8th grade. Most of my experience acquire in my country of origin Venezuela. I attended to a Catholic School and was part of the teaching of the children about religion; also, I’ve been a camp counselor. In general I love working with people specially young kids and teens because I connect and relate to their struggles so I’m really motivated to help them.

First we start by determinating their basic knowledge and the information they have about the language in a diagnostic test. Secondly, we review their weaknesses and areas of interest to get the best information they need and wish to know in the language; for example if the language wants to be learn to communicate in general, or if the student is looking for knowledge on their aspiring career. Later on, practice is key and to achieve excellence grammar, vocabulary and speaking exercises are done. Finally, a review and an exam to evaluate their improvements and the reinforcements they need.
