About Mary
I especially enjoy when the students begin responding to their assignments. In most cases students do more than the assignment required having gained a new skill.
The desire to learn more begins on day one!
When students begin speaking with confidence and take ownership of what they are learning is always a satisfying experience for me. The fact that it happens early is a fringe benefit.
I acquired the skill of speaking Spanish in the Language office of my High School during my senior year. I became conversational in four months. My teacher was amazed.
I have taught hundreds of students in groups of 35 or more at a time. I jhave taught smaller groups in homes. I have taught one-on-one in restaurant settings. I have taught crash coursses for students who traveled to Spanish speaking countries. During the pandemic I have taught online.
