About Olivia
At Special Services with Olivia in University Place, WA, I am dedicated to empowering learners through specialized tutoring services tailored to individual needs. Whether you're seeking support in special needs education, enhancing literacy skills with reading and writing tutoring, or mastering English as a second language, I provide personalized attention to help each student succeed. With a focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, I aim to make a positive impact in every student's educational journey.
A little about my background in education: I have 13 years of teaching experience I spent the first half of that teaching 2nd and 3rd grade general education students and have spent the last 6 years in Special Education. The majority of that has been on a K-5 campus. I have a Master's degree in Special Education from Texas Tech University. I am certified in the state of Washington to teach Pk-8 all subjects, ESL and Special Education students PK- young adult. I have experience writing IEPs, behavior plans, and completing educational evaluations in academic and cognitive areas. I pride myself in working with students and families to take ownership and advocate for their learning and education.
