About Edward
Hi, I'm Ed! An experienced tutor with over 1000+ sessions of experience. I have a passion for maths and sciences and I love teaching! All my sessions are student-focused, targeting our lessons on your weaknesses but also tailoring to what interests you.
I'm a first-class honours graduate from the University of Exeter in economics and finance. I've published research investigating how we can use maths to calculate how much companies are worth.
Away from tutoring, I work full-time in the outdoor education industry as a mountain leader and a sailing instructor.

I am an experienced secondary school and sixth-form maths and science tutor, teaching everyone from 6 to 76! Specialising in tailored GCSE and A Level 1-to-1 or small group sessions, I've conducted 1000+ remote sessions over three years, catering to diverse backgrounds and abilities.
With a new student, my priority is to pinpoint the areas of weakness and identify the student's likes and dislikes. From this, I develop exercises targeting the specific weaknesses. Exercises involve computer animations, virtual science labs and use of IT to further aid understanding.
For students sitting exams, I have built up a database of over 20,000 exam-style questions for all sciences and maths exam boards. These are used in lessons to further understanding of a topic and can be provided to the student to help with additional practice.
