About Rima
Are you in high school/university but have a hard time juggling it all? No matter how much you work on "figuring it out," do you feel like you are going around in circles? Do you always wonder what is the most effective way of learning something in a way that it sticks? Would you like to learn how to manage your study time/ schedule/ study materials so as to achieve your educational goals?
I am a Professor at a college in NYC (B.A, M.A, Ph.D) and through my years of being in school, university, and now teaching and doing research work, I have realized that half the battle in learning is effectively managing one's schedule and creating a good study method/ flow. Many students understand the material but have a hard time succeeding in school (be it elementary/ middle/ high/ university) because they do not have the right skills needed for organizing their material and figuring out how to manage their time. Also, the skills that worked during middle school suddenly do not seem to be working during high school. Well, the context has now completely changed.
Let me help you succeed! I sit down with each student and after understanding his/ her specific situation and needs, I create a custom study/ extra-curricular plan. This plan will include (1) how to manage overall time (2) how to break down various study tasks and then work with them in manageable chunks. Follow-up sessions will tweak this plan/ help incorporating changing situations/ take you to the next level in your educational journey.
